If you plan to travel frequently around the island, it is much more cost-effective to rent an automobile (car, jeep, van). However, if you plan on traveling infrequently, taxis are readily available from the Villa. It is approximately $15 to take a taxi with 2–4 people into town. If you plan on multiple trips a day, a rental vehicle is much more cost-effective. Scooters are also an option but not recommended unless you are an experienced rider.

Chango Villa recommends working with our concierge partner. Vehicles can be delivered to Chango Villa, and all paperwork can be done there.

Because we are on an island, everything is much more expensive than on the mainland. Our costs are based on consumption and are a direct reflection of the number of people staying at the villa: water treatment plant, bottled water, utilities, etc. Because of this, we use a "cost per-person model" above the base rental rate for the villa. It is the best and fairest way we can appropriately have a rate structure that is equal to the consumption of the group.
